Mechanical servicing and repairs on e-bikes are available, but electronic diagnostics, system fault diagnosis, firmware updates and motor servicing are not offered.
How frequently you need to get your bike serviced really depends on how often you ride and in what conditions.
All bikes need regular checking and cleaning by their owner to keep them running optimally, but in addition, a regular full service by an experienced mechanic is essential for ensuring the longevity, performance, and roadworthiness of your bike.
A bicycle that receives regular servicing benefits from lubrication, adjustment and early replacement of relatively low-cost consumable parts. Without this preventative maintenance, wear spreads to more expensive components such as the cassette, chainrings, bearings and brake rotors, significantly increasing long-term repair costs.
iLovesMyBike can recommend which level of full service will be most appropriate to the condition of your bike and your frequency of use.
A clean and well-maintained bike is a joy to ride and is likely to be ridden more often, leading to increased physical and mental health benefits and a cleaner environment.
