When you contact iLovesMyBike, in person by email, Whatsapp or mobile phone we may collect:

• Home or work address (for Home Collection & Return and invoicing)

• Telephone number (Landline or Mobile)

• Bicycle details relevant to servicing or repair

• Any information you provide in enquiries or correspondence relating to your service

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information.

How i Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Respond to enquiries in a timely way

• Arrange bicycle servicing and repairs

• Communicate about your needs and make appointments and recommendations (sometimes after the Service Period ends)

• Maintain service records on your bicycle repair, which helps when you become a return customer.

• Issue invoices and receipts

• Request Google Business Profile Reviews

• Comply with legal and tax obligations

We process your information because it is necessary to provide our services or because we have a legitimate business interest in doing so.

How Long I Keep Information

We retain customer information only for as long as reasonably necessary:

• Enquiry records: normally up to 24 months

• Service and invoice records: normally up to 6 years to comply with UK tax and accounting requirements

One More Thing

Although I have been trading since 2020 I have only just decided to add Google Analytics to my Google Sites website to understand the frequency of site visits. This Privacy Policy is necessary under GDPR law, but as of 12/06/2026

1. i'm using Google Analytics,

2. i don't have a contact form on the website, preferring a (call to action) Whatsapp button 

3. i don't yet collect online booking requests.

4. To manage your customer experience, I do use an old fashioned paper notebook and pen to record personal details and notes that are generated before and during your service, that I will freely share with you on written or verbal request.

5. i do reserve the right to take photos of your bike for marketing purposes (but not of you with your bike) These digital photos are often used to provide you with "service evidence" via a Google Photos link pasted onto your final invoice or sent to you vie WhatsApp during your Service Period, but only when I need to share visual information with you. I do not record any personal details in presenting the service evidence to you or share this link with anyone else. Here is an example I sent someone when something was missing from a component I had purchased for a customers bike repair.
